Municipios in Cuba
In Cuba, the term municipality refers to the local authority or geographically limited administrative unit below the level of the province . The 15 Cuban provinces are divided into 168 municipalities in accordance with Law No. 1304 of July 3, 1976, enacted in the course of the general administrative reform , plus the Isla de la Juventud as a special municipality.
