Quivicán is a municipality and a city in the Cuban province of Mayabeque . Until 2010 the municipality was part of the dissolved province of La Habana .

The municipality is located northeast of Güira de Melena and west of San Nicolás de Bari . The settlement was officially founded in 1700.

The municipality has 29,253 inhabitants on an area of ​​283 km², which corresponds to a population density of 103.4 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Quivicán is divided into three districts ( barrio ): Delicias, Güiro Marrero and Pueblo.
