Playas del Este
The Playas del Este (German "Beaches of the East") are located east of Havana , the capital of Cuba . The entire beach region extends over 50 km and consists of white sandy beaches.
Due to their location, approx. 15 km from Havana , these beaches are very popular with tourists and locals who want to "escape" the big city life. The stretches of beach around Santa María del Mar are overgrown with trees and offer many places to stay as well as a wide range of sports. The Playa Bacuranao is relatively quiet and especially suitable for families. The beaches in Guanabo are very lively , especially on weekends.
