Cuachicqueh
The Cuachicqueh were an Aztec warrior society.
He was one of two male societies defined by certain characteristics and could only be distinguished from that of the Otomí by a few characteristics . The admission requirements of this covenant were one such feature. To become a Cuachic (singular of Cuachicqueh), a warrior had to show 20 captures, most of which had to take place in the prestigious wars with Huexotzinco . The hairstyle of these elite warriors was another characteristic for them and at the same time their namesake. Cuachicqueh means in German "Die Kahlgeschoren". In general, the hairdresses were status symbols with the Aztecs and the shorter the hair of a warrior, the more successful it was in the war.
