Curl (programming language)

Curl is a multi paradigms - programming language to write, which is designed to better Internet applications. Elements from markup language, script and object-oriented language are incorporated.

Curl has been in development since 1995. The first public version appeared in 2000. Curl is now in version 8.0.8 and is being further developed by the employees of Curl, Inc. Curl, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumisho Computer Systems, Japan .

Curl applications usually belong to the group of Rich Internet Applications . Applications downloaded directly from the Internet or installed locally run in the same secure sandbox . They can be run online or offline.

A plug-in ( Curl Surge RTE ) is required, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. The company also provides a Curl editor ( Curl Surge Lab IDE ) for programming, which contains extensive documentation in English.

Curl should not be confused with the cURL of the same name , a download manager .
