The Cyclose describes the elliptical path of a Gastriole from the cell mouth to the cell after by the body of a unicellular eukaryotic organism, in the course of which the content of digested and absorbed is. It belongs to the type of digestion called phagocytosis and is divided into three stages .

Stages

After a gastriol has been pinched off from the cytostome , the gastriol content is acidified by fusing the food vacuole with acidosomes . Subsequently, in the digestive stage, by fusion with lysosomes, an injection of digestive enzymes is carried out, which starts the decomposition of the food. Resorption can now take place, in which the digestive products to be used leave the gastriole in small exocytosis vesicles and pass into the cytosol.
