The Düren History Association e. V. is the history association for the district town of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The association was founded in 1897 as a branch of the Aachen History Association, which had existed since 1879. In 1938 the Düren department became an independent history association.

According to the statutes, the association makes it its task to trace the past of the homeland, to see the city's history in a larger context, to look after historical monuments , etc. It issues scientific publications for these areas, organizes lectures and conducts study trips .

The Düren history sheets have been published since 1955 . In them various authors write about their scientific research on Düren. Members receive it for free. A total of 87 volumes had been published by 2012.

Furthermore, 29 articles on the history of the Düren region have been published in book form so far .
