Development in the D'Humy system

The D'Humy system (also: " split level ") is a variant of the development of parking garages .

In the D'Humy system, unlike in parking structures with a continuous deck, the parking levels are offset by half a storey height from one another, so that the parking area is used to the maximum with good access via half-ramps. The system designed by Fernand E. d'Humy was patented in 1919 and was considered the most important alternative to the mechanical process invented by Max Miller.
