D-Star ONE iSAT is a German nanosatellite that was designed and built by the Berlin company German Orbital Systems GmbH in cooperation with the Czech company iSky Technology sro. The satellite is equipped with an ADS-B system, which forwards tracking data from aircraft. The satellite also carries D-Star radio modules for amateur radio services via satellites.
mission
D-Star ONE iSAT was launched on December 27, 2018 together with the main payload, the Kanopus-V-5 and -6 satellites and a further 25 small satellites, including D-Star ONE Sparrow , UWE-4 and ZACube-2 with a Soyuz-2 -1a Fregat-M launched from the Russian cosmodrome Vostochny . The first contact with the ground station in Berlin took place on the day of the launch. The first telemetry was published on December 28, 2018 by Mike Rupprecht, DK3WN.
