Center-Europe-Atlantique route
The Center-Europe-Atlantique (RCEA) route is a road axis that runs through central France in an east-west direction. It connects southern Germany, Switzerland and eastern France with the French Atlantic coast. There is no special signaling with street signs - it has only been defined by an association. The route runs along roads with different numbers. Although the route does not run through built-up areas, it is considered to be accident-prone, as the risk of rear-end collisions increases if you lose attention. It is planned to upgrade all sections of the RCEA to four lanes to increase safety and throughput speed. The motorway sections are subject to tolls.
