Data protection conference

DAFTA has been held in Cologne every November since 1977 . The organizers are Datakontext conferences and the Society for Data Protection and Data Security .

Since 2013, the GDD data protection prize has been awarded as part of the DAFTA, with which "the personal commitment and the achievements of personalities are to be recognized who have courageously campaigned for the strengthening of the basic right to informational self-determination in times of big data and increasing digitization" .
