The sheet contains market overviews, economic barometers, market reports and trade fair reports.

history

"Der Deutsche Dachdecker" was headed by the Berlin roofer Fritz Gerke from 1879, H. Knüppel was responsible for the "Deutsche Dachdecker-Zeitung" from 1892, and Heinrich Müller from the same year for "German Roofing Master". In 1925 the three magazines merged to form the unified organ "German roofing trade". In 1931, the magazine was taken over by Rudolf Müller's printing works in Eberswalde near Berlin and published weekly until it was forced to close in 1945.

On the first association day of the post-war period in Marburg, the newly founded central association decided in 1949 to publish a specialist journal again. In cooperation with the publishing house Rudolf Müller , at that time based in Oldenburg, the title "German roofing trade" was published. From April 1, 1950, the frequency of publication changed from weekly to fortnightly. With the exception of two double issues at New Year's and in late summer, this rhythm of publication has continued to this day. In 1951 the Rudolf Müller Verlag moved to Cologne, followed by the ZVDH in 1969.

With the 1.1971 edition, DDH changed its title from "German roofing trade" to "Das Dachdecker-Handwerk". Back then, the industry only called the magazine DDH and continues to do so today.

DDH is the official organ of the Central Association of the German Roofing Trade eV (ZVDH) and the trade journal of the International Federation of Roofing Trade (IFD).
