The roof and wooden International (proper spelling: ROOF + TIMBER International ) is a European trade fair for the roofer - and carpentry . It is regarded as the "leading European trade fair for the timber construction and roofing trade". The roof and wooden International place since the first implementation in 2008 in rotation every two years and alternates between the locations Stuttgart and Cologne . Dach und Holz International emerged from the merger of the leading trade fair for roofers Dach + Wand (first event in 1957) and the leading trade fair for carpenter wood construction + expansion (first event in 1982).
Exhibition areas and target groups
The fair offers all product and service areas for the building: timber construction and extension , roof, wall and sealing as well as plumbing technology. It primarily addresses carpenters, roofers, plumbers, architects , planners and engineers . The conference and congress program of Dach und Holz International includes training courses and numerous lecture forums such as the Architects' Day. In 2014, 47,000 trade visitors came to the fair , there were 575 exhibitors. The exhibition area was 70,000 m².

The sponsors of the fair are the Central Association of the German Roofing Trade and Timber Construction Germany - Bund Deutscher Zimmermeister in the Central Association of the German Building Industry. Dach und Holz International is organized by the Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen (GHM), Munich.
