DIN color chart

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The DIN color chart is produced by the DIN German Institute for Standardization e. V. published as DIN  6164. With this color system, the color rows are clearly defined colorimetrically and visually evenly graded. The color system is based on 24 hues, which can be varied in three directions and named and sorted using numbers. The hue number "T" indicates one of the 24 hues, the saturation level "S" indicates the degree of saturation and the measure for the lightness is called the dark level "D".
