DLSCL J0916.2 + 2951

DLSCL J0916.2 + 2951 is a collision of two galaxy clusters in the early universe . The collision began about 700 million years before today's observation, is about 5.23 billion light years from Earth, and is 8 million light years across.

The object is in the constellation Cancer . The structure is believed to be 86% dark matter , 12% hot gas, and 2% shining stars . The discovery of visible radiation was made with the help of the Hubble telescope , the Subaru telescope and the Mayall telescope .

The observation of visible radiation in connection with the gravitational lensing effect also made it possible to determine the proportion of dark matter. The two Keck telescopes and the Chandra telescope took pictures of the X-rays .
