DSV sports sailing license
The DSV sports sailing license is an association-internal certificate of the German Sailing Association (DSV) without any official (legal) significance.
The sport sailing license is not an official certificate of competence for sport boat drivers , therefore it does not entitle the holder to operate ships on waters where an official sport boat driver's license is required.
According to the provisions of the DSV and the ISAF , participants in a regatta organized by the DSV or ISAF , more precisely the skippers, must also have a sailing license from the national association. In order to meet this requirement, the DSV has introduced the sports sailing license. Training and examination of the certificate takes place within the association.
