The German Administrative Gazette (abbreviated: DVBl ) is a legal journal in which decisions and articles on German and European public law as well as book reviews are published. The magazine first appeared in 1879 as the Prussian Administration Gazette (1879 to 1927), later as the Reichsverwaltungsblatt (1928 to 1942) and from 1948/49 as the German Administration and then as the German Administration Gazette .
Bernhard Stüer is the editor-in-chief (all magazine parts: DVBl-aktuell, essays, reports, book reviews and case law). Caspar David Hermanns oversees the editing of the judicial section and with Tomke Weers-Hermanns the editing of DVBl-aktuell. From 1998 to 2011, Hans-Werner Rengeling was the main editor and Bernhard Stüer was the editor. Klaus H. Höwekamp was responsible for the case law and DVBl-aktuell until the end of March 2018. From 1980 to 1997, chief editor Werner Hoppe was responsible for essays and reports and Hans-Werner Rengeling was responsible for the book reviews. Previously, the editor was Carl-Hermann Ule and Hans Schrödter.
The magazine is published twice a month by Carl Heymanns Verlag with a circulation of 2,500 copies.
