Steam straightener

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A steam straightener , also called a steam brush, is a device for quickly removing wrinkles from clothing and fabrics with the help of high-temperature steam.

The principle of operation of the steamer is very simple. Hot steam penetrates deep into the fabrics and relaxes the inner fibers. This way, it removes wrinkles faster than ironing . Because it penetrates deep into the fibers, clothes are smoothed in just a few seconds. The steamer works gently on most fabrics and is also suitable for other heavier materials.

According to a report in a women's magazine from 2007, however, such a device can only be recommended to a limited extent. It is ineffective, too unwieldy and too dangerous, especially for families with young children.
