Quatuor Danel

The Quatuor Danel or Danel Quartet is a string quartet based in Brussels . It was founded in June 1991. During its training it worked with the Amadeus Quartet . On the occasion of the complete recording of Shostakovich's string quartets , it worked with the Borodin Quartet and Feodor Drushinin from the Beethoven Quartet . Walter Levin of the LaSalle Quartet was another mentor. In addition to the classical literature of contemporary music, the Danel Quartet is particularly committed to Francophone origins.
The Quatuor Danel has been quartet in residence at the University of Manchester and at the Chamber Music Festival in Kuhmo / Finland since 2005.
