Borborygmus

With Borborygmus ( Greek . Βορβορυγμός "belly growling") are kollernde cooing and bowel sounds , caused by the movements of the mixed gas and liquid bowel contents, respectively. They occur mainly in digestive disorders (maldigestion); in paralytic intestinal obstruction (ileus), however, they are absent. When the motor complex migrates , the stomach growls .
