The pear doesn't want to fall (The pear doesn't want to fall) is a chain fairy tale in verse form ( ATU 2030). In the Grimm Brothers' Children's and Household Tales, it was only in the first edition of 1812 at position 72 (KHM 72a).

It tells in eight stanzas that the Lord wants to shake a pear. He sends the rooster when it doesn't shake - the dog when it doesn't bite - the beating, etc. Fire, water, calf, butcher, executioner.

Grimm's note noted Oral from Switzerland (and mentions other references). This could make Johann Caspar Ulrich's collection of Jewish stories, which deal with this people in the XIII. and the following centuries up to MDCCLX in Switzerland from time to time .
