“ The end of the monarchy. Vom Reich zur Republik ”is a documentation by Hugo Portisch and Sepp Riff , which shows in many original recordings the people, institutions and events that led to the collapse of the dual monarchy and the establishment of the Republic of Austria during the First World War . Many eyewitnesses are interviewed and many former secret documents are shown from all sides of the fronts. The film was made in 1987.
