The girl with the blue eyes (French original title Un avion sans elle ) is a crime novel by the French author Michel Bussi , which was published in 2012.

A newborn girl is the only passenger to survive a plane crash in the French Jura , near the Swiss border. Since the baby's parents were killed in the crash, two families quarrel over the family claim. The child's real identity has never been established. It is ultimately awarded to one of the two families by a family court . A private detective seems to have discovered the truth after years of investigations. He is murdered, but leaves a file with the results of his research.
