The most beautiful (magazine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nicest thing was a culture magazine in the Federal Republic of Germany . The sheet edited by Nina and Helmut Kindler appeared from 1955 to 1963.

The magazine contained articles and reports on the visual arts, literature, music, theater and film and reported on current cultural events. The title page of the first issue was a photo of Maria Schell with a gold rim. The mostly conservative audience did not follow the gentle turning away from conventional to moderately modern aspects of art, literature and theater productions. In 1959 the circulation was 71,000, but by the end of 1962 it fell to 63,000, of which only 48,000 were sold.

After the magazine suffered a loss of five million German marks, the Kindler und Schiermeyer publishing house abruptly stopped publication with the April number 1963 - a picture of Miro on the title page .
