The fancy sports studio
The fancy sports studio was a cabaret-style annual sports review that was broadcast eight times on Second German Television between 1978 and 1995.
The concept of the show came from the Austrian cabaret artist and sports commentator Werner Schneyder , who from 1975 also moderated the current sports studio several times . Schneyder was also - with the exception of the last broadcast in 1995, which was presented by Matthias Beltz - the presenter. The name of the program has its origins in the fact that the current sports studio was usually down during the traditionally poor time around Christmas.
In 1978 and 1980 the broadcast was prepared in two parts. The 1982 flashback aired in January 1983. The length of the program was around 90 minutes each.
