The Franco-German film meeting (French: Les Rendez-vous franco-allemands du cinéma ), or The Rendez-vous for short, is a Franco-German industry meeting held under the patronage of the Franco-German Film Academy (French l'Académie franco- allemande du cinéma ) and is organized by German Films and Unifrance International in close consultation with the association Das Franco-German film meeting . The declared aim of this two-day meeting of film experts (producers, film distributors, cinema operators, etc.) and representatives of politics, which has been held annually in autumn since 2003, is to exchange ideas on topics of Franco-German co-production in the film sector and to facilitate film distribution in both countries. In addition to panel discussions on topics such as financing, co-production, distribution, and cinema operations, the program examines exemplary individual cases, the role of television and cooperation between the film and television industries.

Behind the industry meeting is the association of the same name, whose aim is to harmonize the production structures for Franco-German co-productions and to promote the distribution of German and French films in the other country. In addition to the annual meeting, the association has been offering advice and support for Germans and French people who want to cooperate with the other country since 2008. Current information on the German and French film industry is continuously collected and compiled for all interested parties on the association's website. President of the association is Alfred Hürmer, vice-presidents are Hanneke van der Tas and Margaret Ménégoz .
