Daschly (Dasli) is an oasis in the north of Afghanistan , the south Amudarja located in the province of Jowzjan . During archaeological investigations, 41 ancient sites were located here. Two of these sites are of particular importance.

In Daschly 1 is a 99 x 85 m large fortress with round corner towers and for about 3 to 4 m high walls that once perhaps up to 8 m were high. Inside the walling, there were remains of what was presumably a completely roofed-over dense building in which there were no alleys or paths. In addition to the fortress, which was probably inhabited by local rulers, remains of a lower town came to light.

Daschly 3 (37/07 N - 66/26 E) was initially a palace that was about 88 × 84 m in size. It consisted of a square interior with residential buildings and fortified outer walls that were laid out in a T-shape. After this palace was abandoned, a fortress was built here. It was rectangular with a side length of about 150 × 130 m and was surrounded and walled by a deep moat. Inside there was again a dense development that left hardly any space for paths or alleys. The interior was divided by three walls. In the center was a heavily fortified rotunda, which might have been a palace, around the outside there were two more, round wall rings, each separating one residential area from the next.

The complexes probably date to the middle of the second millennium BC and belong to the so-called oasis culture .
