Datenstrudel is an "Internet platform for network television" (proper name). It was founded in November 2000 in Cologne and Berlin as an "experimental field" and web-based pool of ideas by artists, filmmakers, photographers and authors. Always on 1.1., 2.2., 3.3. an interactive live show is to be streamed online, i.e. published as an Internet video. The data vortex is about the content-related and formal exploration of the artistic possibilities that the live stream offers. In addition to the live streams, the non-commercial network broadcaster also shows so-called mini-movies and “world improvement measures” in the form of short films and filmed actions. The idea also resulted in music videos , for example for the Cologne pop musician PeterLicht , and photo campaigns and the like. a. for the magazine now for the Süddeutsche Zeitung . In 2005, Datenstrudel showed the episode film World Improvement Measures in German cinemas.
