Helanca

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Helanca is a highly elastic, textured polyamide filament yarn . It is manufactured using a process which was developed in 1931 by Rudolph H. Kägi, an American with a Swiss name, and which was originally applied to viscose fibers ( artificial silk ). The Swiss company Heberlein & Co acquired the rights to the process from Kägi, which they patented and developed to readiness for production. It has been produced by Heberlein & Co. in Switzerland since 1932.
