David Ebersman

David A. Ebersman (born 1969 in the United States ) is an American businessman. He is currently CEO of Lyra Health , having previously held the position of CFO of Facebook from September 2009 to June 1, 2014.

Life

He went to Trinity School in New York City and graduated in 1987. After high school, he attended Brown University and graduated with an AB in International Relations and Economics in June 1991.

Career

Ebersman began his career at Oppenheimer and Co, Inc. in September 1991 as a research analyst and in the research department. Ebersman left Oppenheimer and Co in February 1994 and joined Genentech and worked his way up to CFO in 2009.

In September 2009, Ebersman joined Facebook as the company's chief financial officer, having "open company experience". He oversaw the initial stock sale (IPO) on May 18, 2012. In May 2015, he co-founded Dena Bravata Lyra Health with Bob Kocher, Bryan Roberts , a medical services organization promoting innovation and administration in mental health care. The company has 51 to 100 employees. It is also estimated to be worth $ 103 million. Ebersman has been an independent director of Castlight Health, Inc. since July 14, 2011. He has been a director of SurveyMonkey Inc. since July 2015. He has been Chairman of the Board of SurveyMonkey Inc. since January 16, 2016. He has been a director since February 9, 2017 by Lyra Health, Inc.
