David Watt Prize
The David Watt Prize is an annual award.
It is endowed with £ 10,000 and is awarded to authors who have made a name for themselves in better communicating (national / international / global) politics . Authors are nominated who published articles <5000 words in an English-language newspaper or magazine in the previous year.
The award was launched by the Rio Tinto Group . It is intended to commemorate David Watt (1932–1987), one of the outstanding British political journalists of his generation.
