action

David's father, a caretaker in a school, buys a Christmas carp . David is allowed to choose him and doesn't see him as a feast, but as a pet. To protect it, he hides the knives in the kitchen. When the parents are still sleeping, he plays with his friend, who is supposed to stay in the bathtub until Christmas. He sits down in the tub with him. Because the water is cold, it heats it up, which is not good for the fish. To save him, he drags him to school and dumps him in the pool.

When the parents wake up and can't find David, they go looking for him in the swimming pool. At first the father in particular is upset, but then the adults allow David to release his friend in the Moldova into freedom.
