De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA) ( lat .: From the battles of antiquity) is a tabletop rule system published in 1990 by the author Phil Barker, with which historical battles can be re-enacted.
Models from different manufacturers can be used as pawns for DBA. The rule system is variable for different figure sizes. You glue the figures on base plates, which you can proportionally enlarge or reduce (of course, all units in a game should have the same scale). Can be used, for. B. The system of rules for DBAs is kept relatively simple. A game lasts about an hour. The game is always played with 12 units. The rules include a large number of armies dating from 3000 BC. Chr.
