Opaque white

When opaque white is a painter color which mainly for better handling with an aqueous binder is used. The white pigment it contains is not defined in any more detail except for its high opacity . These substances can be:

  1. Barium sulfate
  2. Titanium dioxide
  3. zinc oxide
  4. White lead (only in historical recipes)
  5. Lithopone
