Deiocids
The Deiocids were a Median dynasty who lived in the 8th and early 7th centuries BC. BC ruled over a smaller region of the Near East .
history
According to the Greek historian Herodotus , the Medes Empire was founded by the Deiokes dynasty , who was elected regional king by the Median sub-tribes.
Investigations in the meantime have refuted Herodotus statements as a political and sophistic ideal . A dynasty under Deiokes could not be proven and therefore did not exist at any time.
