DejaGnu is a framework for testing other programs. It has a main script called runtest that looks for a configuration file in a directory and then runs some tests with given criteria. The purpose of the DejaGnu package is to provide a single interface for all tests. It is part of the GNU project and is licensed under the GPL . DejaGnu is based on expect , an automation and test tool for Unix; this in turn is based on Tcl . The current maintainers are Rob Savoye and Ben Elliston.
