Dejection

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dejection comes from Latin and means something like repulsion or expulsion.

In medicine and veterinary medicine , dejection (technical language: dejectio ) describes the process of secreting substances from the human (possibly also animal) body. In a narrower sense, the term is used for bowel movements ( defecation ), but the term is rather uncommon in recent specialist literature. The material separation itself is called a deject . In a broader sense, other excretions (such as sweat) or sputum are also referred to as dejections .
