Democratic People's Party

The Democratic People's Party ( DPP , Democratic People's Party ) is a political opposition party in Ghana .

In the elections in 2000 and 2004, the DPP was formed with the National Democratic Congress (NDC National Democratic Congress ) and the Party Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere (EGLE, such as "every Ghanaian wherever he lives"), the Progressive Alliance (, Progress Alliance '), whose presidential candidate was John Atta-Mills from the NDC. The DPP supported the NDC candidate massively in the election campaign against John Agyekum Kufuor from the New Patriotic Party (New Fatherland Party) . In the respective parliamentary elections in 2000 and 2004, the candidates of the DPP ran in the respective constituencies.

The chairman of the DPP is the lawyer Thomas N. Ward-Brew, the Secretary General of the DPP is GM Tettey (2006).
