The memorial for war victims by the sculptor Josef Tabachnyk stands on the mass grave for the Jews shot in the Second World War in Novohrad-Wolynskyj .

It is next to the officers' house in Novohrad-Wolynskyj, where women and children were murdered in World War II. A mother is depicted on pink granite with her tormented children in her arms. Two interconnected stone pyramids together form a Star of David on which the inscription “We remember” is written in Hebrew. The black pyramid symbolizes a body that strives towards the ground. The pink pyramid symbolizes a soul that is ready to ascend to heaven.

It opened in 1995. The dimensions of the monument are 200 × 200 × 200 cm.
