Monument to Pedro Álvares Cabral (Lisbon)
The monument to Pedro Álvares Cabral is a memorial to the Portuguese explorer Pedro Álvares Cabral in the municipality of Campo de Ourique in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon . It was ceremoniously unveiled in 1941 with military honors.
The sculptor Rodolfo Bernardelli had created a monument of the same design in Rio de Janeiro in 1940 . The copy was a gift from the Brazilian government to Portugal.
