The Austrian plumber is the organ of the federal guild of sanitary, heating and ventilation technicians. The trade journal has been published by Bohmann Druck & Verlag since 1947 and is a medium for building technology in Austria. It reaches 4,000 installation companies in Austria, planning offices, architects, electrical engineers, property developers, wholesalers, industry, authorities, interest groups, energy suppliers and educational institutions. The magazine appears monthly. The circulation is 11,800 copies (ÖAK 1st half of 2011). The "yellow installer newsletter" also regularly reaches over 11,000 recipients from the installation and building technology industry.

The topics of the magazine concern heating and energy technology, sanitary technology and bathroom design, ventilation and air-conditioning technology, installation technology and industry news. Attention is paid to alternative energy systems (solar, biomass, heat pumps, CHP) as well as the optimization of existing thermal systems. The sanitary area is about wellness, bathroom culture, the latest bathroom trends, barrier-free planning, sanitary facilities for objects and tourism businesses as well as drinking water hygiene. The latest connection technologies, pipe and renovation systems, building technology building trends ( passive house , plus energy house) as well as information about standards, laws and subsidies, about company management and about van and fleet management are also among the topics.
