The Bauernbündler appeared from October 1, 1906 to May 7, 1938 as the "Organ of the Lower Austrian Farmers Association ". If the frequency of publication was initially monthly, it changed from January 1, 1908 to twice a month and from September 1923 a weekly publication was introduced.

As an addition, from January 1, 1915, the name "Newspaper of the Lower Austrian Farmers' Union" was used and between October 8, 1932 and August 29, 1936, the heading "The progressive young farmer" was introduced. A carnival supplement appeared under the title "s'Beißzangerl".

“The Bauernbündler” spread the motto of the Bauernbund “The Bauernbund is protection and defense, for German farmers right and honor”.
