The script researcher

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The script researcher was a combined study magazine by the Swiss preacher Franz Eugen Schlachter , which he had published since 1906. The publication of the magazine coincided with the submission of the editorial staff of the Brosamen in 1907. The new study magazine consisted of two parts and contained ongoing articles or lexical contributions under the title "Miniature Bible Lexicon". The first part of the Scriptural Researcher was usually an article on a biblical subject.

Schlachter intended to publish the completed lexical part of the script researcher as a Bible lexicon or to add it as an appendix to the miniature Bible. Because of this, the pages were in the same format as the miniature Bible. The Bible lexicon was intended to replace a concordance .

As a result of his early death in 1911, however, he was no longer able to complete the work.

The last edition of “Schriftforschers” appeared in February 1911. In total, the “Schriftforschers” had 175 pages at that time.
