The gymnast from Saxony

The gymnast from Saxony was a German sports magazine published in Dresden . Woldemar Bier (1840–1906), director of the gymnastics teacher training institute in Dresden, founded the magazine in 1895. It was the circular sheet of the 14th district of the German Gymnastics Association, Kingdom of Saxony, and was published until 1936.

The continuation was called from 1936 Der Turner - magazine for the spread and deepening of the German gymnastics . Due to the war, the publication was stopped in 1941 and later not included.
