The polite student is an 18th-century etiquette written by Andreas Christoph Graf . It comes from the time before Knigge , whose well-known book On Dealing with People is not a etiquette. On the other hand, The Polite Student is a real etiquette and an opportunity to encourage behavior and courtesy to the even then occasionally rebellious student body through an amusing collection of verses .
