Andreas Christoph Graf
Andreas Christoph Graf (born January 3, 1701 in Augsburg ; † 1776 ibid) was a German educator, writer and the author of the etiquette book " Der polite student " (1735).
Life
Magister Andreas Christoph Graf was a teacher at the grammar school near St. Anna , where he taught in the position of 4th teacher until he retired in 1770. The work The Polite Student , which was published until the late 19th century, is - in contrast to Knigge's book On Dealing with People - a real etiquette to encourage behavior and politeness to the even then occasionally rebellious student body through an amusing collection of verses . He also wrote and published papers of honor, such as one for the wedding of Balthasar Christoph von Hößlin , who later became the consul of Venice, or for the funeral of Marx Christoph Welser .
