Destinée ( French Île Destinée ; English Destinée Island ) is a small, uninhabited island in the Indian Ocean southwest of Rodrigues and about one thousand kilometers east of Madagascar .

Politically, the island belongs to Mauritius . Destinée is approximately 1.25 kilometers from the western coast and approximately 1 kilometer from the southern coast of Baie Topaze .
