The German-Portuguese Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DPIHK, Portuguese Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Alemã ), founded in 1954, is one of the 117 foreign chambers of commerce , delegate offices and representative offices of the Federal Republic of Germany in 80 countries. The seat is in Lisbon .

Essential tasks

With more than 1000 members, the chamber is the first point of contact and service center for these bilateral economic relations. It offers companies assistance in entering the Portuguese market and vice versa. Further tasks are cultural and language exchange and, last but not least, the introduction and expansion of training and further education based on the German model.

Professional qualification Centro DUAL

For more than 20 years, the Chamber has organized the whole complex of vocational training for companies based in Portugal. The aim when setting up the vocational training center was to offer practical training based on the German model. In 2007 the DPIHK registered the brand "DUAL" and has since adopted this name for the training sector. For this purpose, the DPIHK also has three vocational training centers of its own in Porto, Lisbon and Portimão, in which around 700 young people are currently in training. In addition, numerous further training measures are organized with around 1000 participants per year.
