The German Embassy School Beijing (DSP for short) is a private German school abroad in Beijing in the People's Republic of China .

The school is supported by the German School Association in Beijing and is a school abroad recognized by the Standing Conference and funded by the Federal Republic of Germany , which leads to the Abitur and is entitled to award all German school certificates. The school bears the award "Excellent German School Abroad".

In the 2018/19 school year, 730 students from over 30 nations attended the school (approx. 550 students in grades 1 to 12 and approx. 180 children in kindergarten).

The school offers its students excellent knowledge of the German language and culture on the one hand and a multilingual environment on the other, which enables them to successfully join a German-language school and university education or a transition to an apprenticeship in a global environment.

The school is characterized above all by small classes, committed educators and teachers, individual and excellent support and a special family atmosphere.

The school includes: kindergarten with preschool (for toddlers from 2 years), elementary school (grades 1 to 4, with lunch and all-day care), orientation level (grades 5 and 6), lower secondary level (grades 6 to 9; secondary school and high school), Secondary level II (grades 10 to 12; after G 8).

Languages are a focus in the curriculum. The language of instruction in most subjects is German. English as a first foreign language begins in the 5th grade. The second foreign language, French, must be taken in the grammar school from grade 6. Chinese is offered as a late-beginning foreign language in upper secondary level and can be included in the Abitur evaluation. In addition, there are English-language lessons in geography and politics.

The school is centrally located in Beijing on Liangmaqiao Road in the Chaoyang District. The kindergarten is located nearby in the Tayuan Diplomatic Compound, near the German embassy in Beijing.

The modern school building complex offers multimedia equipment in all classrooms with a laptop, projector and interactive whiteboard. The facilities include: specialist rooms for natural sciences, arts, crafts, theater and music, laboratories, PC rooms and PC workstations, sports hall, outdoor sports facility, fitness room, primary school library, high school library, cafeteria, café, school shop, school zoo and school garden.
