from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Deutsche Chronik was a weekly newspaper published by Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart initially in Augsburg and published by Conrad Heinrich Stage . The first edition appeared on March 31, 1774; it was usually published twice a week. When the Augsburg magistrate forbade the printing of the journal after a short time, it was continued from 1776 to 1777 at the Wagner publishing house in Ulm, while the 5th year was published again in Augsburg in 1778. Schubart was expelled from Augsburg in 1775 and imprisoned on the Hohenasperg in 1777 .
